Wanting two monitors and when I go to ‘display’ and ‘settings’ it only shows one monitor, and from what I’ve read I need two in order to run duals. Do I just need to get a dual video card? Is that ALL I need? What about memory, if I’m only using it for general surfing or watching an occasional tv show? Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to set up dual monitors with a VGA port on my video card and the VGA port on my motherboard?

I got a problem here. When the video card is not plugged in, the VGA port on my motherboard works perfectly fine. But when when the video card is installed on my computer the VGA port on my motherboard will not work. So how do i set up 2 monitors with this problem. Read the rest of this entry »

Can dual monitors on a pc have different resolutions?

i have a 19 inch, 1440×900 monitor on a 8800gs video card. if i buy another monitor, would it need to be the same resolution? or can they have independent resolutions?
