I have a Gateway FX6800-01e gaming PC, but I’m planning to upgrade the video card to dual NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 cards. It has a 500W power supply in it right now, but I know that isn’t enough to support both video cards (just one of them requires at least a 475W power supply). Here are the specs of my PC:

* Motherboard: Intel X58
* Processor: Intel i7-920 @ 2.67 GHz X4
* Memory: 12 GB (DDR3)
* Hard drive: 750 GB @ 7200 rpm

I’m going to be playing some high-end games on it, such as Crysis, on the highest settings possible, at 1920×1080 resolution, so I need to make sure the power supply can keep up.

How many watts should be in the power supply to support this PC?

You will need to be installing drivers for the Dual Monitor Video Card. card, but it depends on whether the Windows has its own built in drivers and not. It is easy; just follow all the instructions that are flashing on the screen.

Or are there only special motherboards that can support dual video cards? do they have to have the same amount of RAM?

i cant find 2nd power cable to connect to the video card.
but the manual says it supports dual cards.
please help.
